How much do I need to start trading?

Beginners often came up with the question above. In my opinion, one should only trade with money she/he can afford to lose. Anyway, I think the first question beginners should ask themselves is where I can learn about trading in order to begin building my knowledge on the market.

In my opinion, this path towards mastering the trade starts by doing the following:

1. Read some books on the subject to understand the basics;

2. Attend a course from a successful trader

After that, the self-development process goes on just like in any career, including a lot of study, discipline and self-knowledge.

I'm sure that if one follows steps 1 and 2 before putting her/his first dollar on the market, she/he will feel more confident on her/his investment decisions.

What I like about being a Position Trader

Follow some things I like about being a Position Trader:

1. I can analyze charts during the weekend, when the market is closed, and spend the end of my weekly days to go out with friends and significant other.

2. I can aim at higher gains by looking for securities about to make big moves.

3. It’s a trading style suitable for any market condition.

4. It’s a trading style that helps building the foundation for trading options.

5. It’s a trading style that doesn’t require a huge amount of capital.
